Belterra

In 2004, the Austin Home Builder's Association awarded Belterra the title of Best Overall Community in Austin - and with good reason. This master-planned community, set amongst wooded greenbelts, features large family homes constructed by Austin's most respected production builders (Newmark, Highland and Wilshire Homes, to name a few). A 9.5-acre amenity center provides residents with a sport court, fitness center, and several pools (not to mention the fantastic nature trails that wind through the neighborhood). However, it's the close-knit community that has attracted so many. Belterra's neighborhood association runs great family programs, from book clubs to movies in the park. Students attend exemplary Dripping Springs schools including Rooster Springs Elementary which opened in Fall 2007 on Belterra Drive. Residents enjoy frequenting local hangouts such as The Nutty Brown Café and the famous Salt Lick BBQ. Just thirty minutes from downtown Austin, Belterra is close enough for commuters, but far enough away to preserve that elusive tight-knit atmosphere.
