Austin Pumpkin Patches 2018
Ready to spice up your fall decor with a pumpkin or two? Pumpkin patches are popping up all across the Austin area at local churches, garden centers, and farms. To help you find a patch, we've put together a list of locations with plenty of pumpkins to choose from, all the way from Kyle to Georgetown. We've even included large patches in Hondo and Marble Falls on our list. Some of the locations offer even more fall fun with carnivals, festivals, and corn mazes!
Celebrate fall in the Austin area at one of these pumpkin patches:
Anderson Terrace - Head out to this Austin patch starting September 28th from 10 am - 7 pm to pick your perfect pumpkin! Admission to the patch is free, but pumpkins start at $2, and painting a pumpkin is $10. Other fun activities include games and photo ops - all free!
Barton Hill Farms - This popular patch in Bastrop is open on Saturdays from 10 am - 7 pm and Sundays from 10 am - 6 pm, with special hours on Columbus Day (October 8) from 10 am - 6 pm. The farm opens its gates on September 29th and will close November 4th. Admission is $15.95 per ticket, with an extra fee for certain activities. The farm offers two corn mazes - one kiddie version, and one with a "Lonesome Dove" theme. Other activities include live music, sack races, games, and a petting zoo.
Bethany Lutheran Church - The church's pumpkin patch debuts October 12th with an exciting weekend of activities. Admission to the patch is free, and it will be open daily from 10 am - 7 pm Monday - Saturday and 9 am - 6 pm on Sundays. Come out for the Fall Festival on October 28th from 3 - 6 pm and enjoy a carnival with a hayride, food, and petting zoo, all for $5!
Bethany United Methodist Church - The pumpkin patch is open from October 1st, Monday - Friday from 3 - 7 pm, and Saturday - Sunday from 9 am - 7 pm. Proceeds for the pumpkin patch support the church's youth ministries.
Buda United Methodist Church - The church is hosting their pumpkin patch from October 1st until the pumpkins run out! Pick your pumpkins from 10 am - 8 pm daily.
Cross Plants and Produce - Starting September 29th, take a drive down to Kyle to pick your pumpkin Tuesday - Sunday from 10 am - 6 pm. Weekends at the patch are filled with storytimes, pumpkin painting, and other fun events!
Elgin Christmas Tree Farm - Visitors can enjoy fall fun throughout the month of October! Choose your perfect pumpkin at the Pumpkin Festival October 13th - 14th and October 20th - 21st, from 10 am - 5:30 pm on Saturday, and 12 - 5:30 pm on Sunday. Admission is $8 for ages 2 - 12 and $10 for ages 13 and up. Fun activities include a maze, pumpkin painting, and a hayride. The farm is also open for fun activities starting October 5th on Monday - Thursday from 10 am - 2 pm, Friday - Saturday from 10 am - 5:30 pm, and Sunday from 12 - 5:30 pm.
Evergreen Farms - October weekends in Elgin are perfect for a pumpkin hunt at Evergreen Farms. The farm is open Saturdays from 10 am - 5 pm and Sundays from 1 - 5 pm. Kids can hunt for mini pumpkins among the trees, then bring them back to decorate. Admission is free for everyone, but activities like the pumpkin launcher, pumpkin maze, train ride, bounce house, and face painting charge a small fee.
First United Methodist Church Georgetown - Pumpkins arrive in Georgetown on October 11th and the patch will be open daily October 11th - 31st from 9 am - 7 pm.
First United Methodist Church Pflugerville - Pumpkins take over Pflugerville October 14th - 31st. The patch is open weekdays from 3 - 9 pm, and weekends from 9 am - 9 pm.
Leander United Methodist Church - Pumpkins are coming mid-month to Leander, with this patch opening October 15th - 31st. The patch is open Monday - Friday from 2 pm - dusk, Saturday from 9 am - dusk, and Sunday from 12 pm - dusk. The church is also hosting a movie night in the patch on October 19th at 7:30 pm, and a fall festival October 27th from 2 pm - 4 pm with a bounce house, face painting, and games.
Robinson Family Farm - This Temple area farm offers tons of fall fun! Wander through the pumpkin patch or enjoy activities like a hayride, mazes, games, and arts and crafts. The patch is open Saturdays and Sundays from 10 am - 6 pm. Admission to the farm is free, but tickets must be purchased for activities. Each weekend in October is packed with different special events, including a pie eating contest, costume contest, and flashlight corn maze.
South Texas Maize - Take a family road trip to Hondo, Texas (east of San Antonio) this month to get lost in the huge, 7-acre corn maze. Kids can also have a blast with two jumping pillows, hayrides, campfires, mountain slide, and of course, a pumpkin patch. On Saturdays, dress up in costume for trick-or-treating through the maze, live music, dancing, and fireworks! The maze is open Fridays from 6 - 9 pm, Saturdays from 10 am - 9 pm, and Sundays from 12 - 5 pm. Admission is $17.50 for ages 3 - 64, $13 for ages 65 and up, and free for children under 2.
St. Richard's Episcopal Church - Round Rock pumpkins are available September 27th - October 31st at St. Richard's. The patch is open Sunday - Friday from 12 pm - dark, and Saturday from 9 am - dark.
Sweet Berry Farm - Head out to Marble Falls to pick out your perfect pumpkin. The farm is open until November 4th, Monday - Saturday from 8:30 am - 5:30 pm, and Sundays from 11 am - 5 pm. The farm is closed every Wednesday. Admission to the farm is free, but there are individual charges for activities. Fall fun activities include face painting, scarecrow stuffing, pumpkin decorating, hayfield mazes, a petting zoo, and hayrides.
